My name is Rachel, I am 21 years old and I was born and raised in the south of Belgium. I study business and marketing and I am passionate about fashion, style and design in general.

For years, I’ve been reading fashion magazines, websites and blogs, following instagram accounts and scrolling down my favorite brands e-shops. Back in 2015, as many other girls my age, I used to go shopping every week. I was literally obsessed with fashion (and I still am), always looking for the latest trends and it-pieces of the season. The truth is, I was spending way too much, way too often, on clothes I would barely wear two or three times, if not at all. I had so many clothes and shoes in my closet that I was sometimes ashamed to tell my relatives about my new purchases. Not only was it totally unsustainable for my own wallet and wardrobe, but also for the environment and our planet …

It took me a long time to realize that, and a few documentaries and readings about fast-fashion later, here I am!

I’ve been thinking a lot about how to change my buying behaviour to something better, considering that constant attraction to the glamorous world of fashion and its appealing marketing and trends.
How to buy ethical, eco friendly … and not end up wearing hippie harem pants and dreadlocks ? How to combine style, budget and clothes that are good for our planet and people ?

Hence, I decided I would only make one resolution for this new year: actually start changing and find an answer to the question above. There’s a long way down the road, and I would like to share this journey with you guys! We are all part of the system and it is time to take our responsibilities. One step at a time, all together, we can make this place a better world.

I hope you will enjoy this blog! xxx
